There is currently a job vacancy for a Constituency Engagement & Campaigns Co-ordinator in the office of Stephen Gilbert MP
Salary: A competitive salary is available for the successful candidate, in accordance with IPSA pay scales and past experience
Stephen Gilbert and St Austell & Newquay Liberal Democrats are jointly seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person to coordinate the MP's Parliamentary duties in the constituency and to build & lead a team of volunteers assisting with the MP's constituency engagement work.
The successful candidate will be a 'people person' with strong organisational skills. They will be required to engage with local community groups and members of the public; coordinate a wide variety of engagement activities: including the annual 'Village Tour', surgeries, routine door-knocking sessions and public events across the constituency; and lead a team of volunteers assisting with engagement work including telephone canvassing and leaflet delivery.
Experience of volunteer management, previous campaigning experience and knowledge of the local community is highly desirable.
