The Navy Inn on Queen Street, just off the promenade, is one of the secrets of Penzance; it is a mixture of local pub and neighbourhood restaurant. Open 7 days a week from noon until late the inn serves fine food and drink all day. Just as much dedication and care is taken with a quick snack as a more formal meal with everything made on the premises (the chefs even cure their own bacon). This friendly local will soon be celebrating five years in its present guise, and considers its food to be of prime importance. The Navy has gained awards from the AA every year for serving fine food as well as being invited to join groups like Cornwall Accredited Restaurants and UK Food Heroes three years in succession. Customers are met by the pub’s friendly experienced front of house team who immediately provide a warm welcome.
