Gold CHEFS award for The Deli Launceston - 07/02/2012
The Deli Launceston has won a gold CHEFS Award from Cornwall Council's Public Health and Protection Service. The award is in recognition of it's commitment to offering healthy menu options using locally sourced food.
The Award means that The Deli will be able to display the distinctive blue CHEFS logo which tells customers that it has adopted and maintains a high degree of food safety and standards as well as offering healthier options on its menus.
Owner Shelley Alexander says: “On behalf of all of us at The Deli we would like to show our appreciation to Cornwall Council for recognising the importance of a healthy diet. We feel very proud that we have received this prestigious award that recognises just how much care we give to producing fresh food from scratch the healthy way. It will also give our customers, old and new, confidence in our products and ethos of using fresh and local produce where possible.
