Zoo staff celebrate as crowned lemur baby is born - 02/06/2011
A crowned lemur baby was born at Newquay Zoo this morning. The baby is a girl but has not yet been named. She joins an array of species in the Madagascan Walkthrough exhibit which has proved popular as it has an open fronted section allowing visitors a unique experience amongst the different species.

Baby Nyala Antelope born at Newquay Zoo - 20/04/2011
This morning, 20th April 2011, a baby nyala antelope was born at Newquay zoo. This is the first ever of the species to be born at the zoo and they are to be found on the African Savanna exhibit.
When full grown the nyala antelope are around 3ft tall and have exceptionally large ears to compensate for poor eye sight.
Plant Hunters Week at The Zoo - 23/08/2010
From 28th August to 3rd September take the Plant Hunters Trail and follow in the footsteps of the old Cornish explorers. Take a trip to the ‘Grow your own’ potting tent. Pot some seeds on the and take them home using recycled and bio-degradable plant potters.
