The Fisherman's mission is a Christian charity dedicated to the welfare needs of all fishermen and their families. Catering facilities are available at the Newlyn centre. The Superintendent can be contacted at any time to discuss personal problems.

Celebrity Chef Rick Stein to open Newlyn Fish Festival. - 26/08/2010
The 20th Newlyn Fish Festival on Bank Holiday Monday at Newlyn harbour will be opened by seafood specialist Rick Stein. The festival is organised in aid of the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen and will feature a wide selection of seafood, cooking demonstrations, fish auctions, open vessels and craft stalls together with a full programme of music and harbour entertainments including gig racing, helicopters and Penlee lifeboat. The day kicks off at 9am, closes at 17.00 with last entry at 16.00.
