The Association of Police Chief Officers (APCO) official policy states that any alarmed premises must have at least 2 key holders and and that one must be available at all times and have transport. Your alarm receiving centre is not allowed to inform the police of alarm activation unless they are able to send a key holder to the premises.
Safeplace Security offers a key holding service to both business and residential properties, meaning that should your alarm be activated, the alarm company can respond, our response guard can attend, and the Police can be notified.
If a serious problem is discovered, we will inform either yourself or a nominated contact and seek further instruction.
In the case of residential key holding when you are likely only to use the service whilst away on holiday or business, we can perform a range of useful tasks.
We can take daily action to reduce crime, including moving mail and papers, and we also water your plants and feed your pets. By holding your keys we are able to accept deliveries, see to tradesmen, turn lights on/off, open/close curtains etc. You may specify the frequency of our visits, day or night.
