St Euny’s can supply laying hens, hatching eggs and poultry houses along with table birds. Producing eggs at home is becoming increasingly popular; knowing what you are eating, what your chickens have been fed, their quality of life and the sense of achievement you gain all adds to the popularity of the “grow your own” concept.
Cornish bred laying hens can produce on average 320 + fresh eggs in their first year. Quality Hybrid chicks can be hatched from the hatchery and supplied in any quantity from two chicks upwards for collection from the Dinner Time Pet Foods store near Redruth. They are available as day-olds, although older pullets can be offered at certain times of the year (details available on request).
Pure Breed hatching eggs – Rhode Island Red and Light Sussex - are available at certain times of the year. Please enquire on availability as advance orders have priority.
St Euny’s can also offer poultry houses of various types and sizes. These are built in Cornwall and are of quality timber construction. Houses are on display at Dinner Time Pet Foods and are normally available from stock for collection or can be delivered at an additional cost.
Customers frequently ask for quality table chicks to rear for their own supply of fresh chicken meat, and these can now be supplied. There are three types available from the hatchery as day-olds, from fast maturing to slow growing – whatever suits personal requirements.
