Increases in Statutory Holiday Entitlement
On 1 October 2007 Statutory Holiday regulations will be changing. The current minimum entitlement of 4 weeks (20 days for those working a 5 day week) will rise to 4.8 weeks from 1 October 2007 and 5.6 weeks from 1 April 2009.
This effectively means that an employee working a 5 day week will be entitled to a minimum holiday of entitlement of 21.1 days for the 2007 calendar year; 24 days for 2008; 27.1 for 2009 and 28 days in 2010.
