Bonhams sells first maps of Cornwall - 27/09/2011
Bodmin born California resident Peter Dewhurst collected over 80 historic maps of Cornwall over 40 years. The collection has been sold at Bonhams for £46,000.
The first printed map of Cornwall was produced in 1576 as part of the first county atlas of England and Wales went for £10,000.
