Rowe's The Bakers have opened a second Penzance bakery at 91 Market Jew Street, Penzance. Over the past nine years, the previously single-shop Penryn-based business has grown to two bakeries and 19 shops. The business also supplies Tesco and Morrisons. In September 2009 MD Alan Pearce was recognised for his achievements when he was presented with the 'Baker of the Year' award at the annual Baking Industry Awards ceremony at London's Park Lane Hilton. Mr Pearce started out as an apprentice before moving up the ranks to become a director and then MD.
