An international award winning chef has joined Tregenna Castle Hotel’s team. Scott Young brings a wealth of experience to his new role as Executive Head Chef at the St Ives hotel.
Scott has worked in fifteen countries which gives him a thorough knowledge of world cuisine. He is now keen to give diners the best of Cornish produce from a globally inspired menu.

Poldark Mine - An unusual Cornish setting for weddings
For a truly Cornish wedding in a unique setting Poldark
Mine is now available for Civil Ceremonies.
Experience an atmospheric tour through the partially candle
lit mine before having your underground ceremony in an area
of the mine known as the Holman Chamber.
Weddings can be arranged at any time of year and up to 25 guests
can attend the underground ceremony.
The site is enclosed and contains all the facilities expected
within a major heritage site. Serviced by two car parks the facilities
include: function room; cafeteria; picnic and BBQ area; various
craft workshops and shops; museum and outside exhibits; 
amusement
arcade with ten pin bowling alley, pool and air hockey tables;
gold panning; children’s play area and baby changing room.
All these facilities are available for groups holding receptions
on site which is great if you have children in the wedding party.
The Miner’s Restaurant is also available for the reception
with a variety of catering options.
